Self Dismissal

We are starting self dismissal this week!

At the end of the day, each sixth grader is dismissed from our classroom individually or in pairs.

This is the plan:

For students who are picked up immediately after school, if their ride has arrived, they are free to go home. If not, they will sit on the stairs by the gym entrance doors and wait for me.

For students who have permission to leave school independently, they will cross the street at the crosswalk and refrain from taking cell phones or any electronic devices out until on the other side of the street.

After all students are dismissed from upstairs, I will head downstairs to wait with students who have not yet been picked up and ensure that everything has gone smoothly.
