Today's Trip to Carnegie Hall
The middle school will leave this morning at 8:20 am for our annual fall trip to Carnegie Hall. Already, we have had talented musicians come in to play traditional Indian music for us and today we will continue to hear and learn about the Music of India in this beautiful setting with many other schools.
Please be sure that your child is wearing a black shirt and black pants. The chorus will be a part of several other performances throughout this year and will be asked to wear this attire for each.
Resume Writing
The sixth grade is working hard on the composition of extra curricular resumes, our second writing assignment that will be put into our portfolios! It has been an interesting process as sixth graders have had a chance to reflect on the rich experiences both in and out of school that they have already had and also think about what they might hope to add to this resume by the start of eighth grade.
Basketball Information
Due to the limited availability of the gym, basketball practice will take place this month only on Thursdays (not on Tuesdays):
Junior Team: 3:15 - 4:15
Senior Team: 4:30 - 5:30
Note: As before, 6th grade boys would go to Basketball practice at 3:15 PM and then go to join Chorus sectionals, ending at 5:40 PM. As for 7th & 8th grade boys, basketball practice begins at 4:30 PM and Chorus sectionals take place beforehand.
This is the plan for December.
